Software & Things was founded by Patrick Huveldt in 1990’s.  Patrick is highly experienced in the implementation and integration of software and hardware systems.  His interest in optimizing information technology networks to better serve his clients, led him to adopt an IT managed service model that has evolved into a comprehensive set of services.
This unique comprehensive set of IT services combines both “HaaS”(Hardware as a Service) and “I T Managed Services” into one all-inclusive IT support model. This allows the consolidation of hardware, WAN / Internet infrastructure, disaster recovery, software licenses, and comprehensive support services into one cost effective and pre-established monthly fee.

This means that our clients will work with one company, rather than various uncoordinated IT companies and be assured of a comprehensive approach to their IT business requirement needs.

Founder
Patrick A. Huveldt is the founder of a successful managed IT service company, Software and Things, and highly skilled in the implementation and integration of software and hardware systems. For twenty years, he has provided conceptual and technical computer operation services and has analyzed and created network systems for a cross section of large- and medium-sized companies. Work in network design (LAN) and the administration of NT network servers adds to his comprehensive knowledge of the IT landscape. His background includes experience, at the medical clinic level, in the selection, implementation, training and maintenance of EMR / PM software and hardware for a major dermatology clinic. This comprehensive experience has enabled him to help design EMR Consulting Solutions' bundled services package.

Marketing
Karen Porter is a senior-level marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in every aspect of the marketing discipline. She is especially passionate and experienced in the area of online marketing and new technologies. This includes expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media marketing, and local online marketing. Karen's background also includes medical/dental experience, having worked with the University of Minnesota Hospital and private practitioners in medical billing, medical insurance, patient advocacy and general medical/dental office administration — making her a valuable member of our EMR Consulting team.

Communications
Hank Olguin has more than thirty years of experience as an award-winning writer, creator and communicator. The majority of his accomplishments result from work in advertising as a senior copywriter and creative director. He is especially effective at translating corporate branding objectives into high impact messages and creating language for use across the entire marketing mix, including online vehicles. His background includes the design and implementation of a strategic branding strategy for a successful dermatology practice.
